The La Elfa readership study, that this year was supported only by Weka has become the focus of a row between the publishers in Germany. A court has issued an injunction preventing Weka from using the results, and effectively closing down the website.

publish-industry Verlag has emailed the industry, highlighting some of the concerns that they have about the survey, and we await a final decision from a Hamburg court. At Napier we believe that all readership surveys need interpretation, especially when they are funded by a single publisher, but it should be remembered that the La Elfa study is probably the best public readership study available within the European electronics industry.
