One of the biggest challenges with a pan-European campaign is dealing with all the different languages. Coverage analysis presents a particular challenge if you don’t know what the journalist wrote. Svet elektronike has helped make this a little easier by adding a translate button to all the stories they post. It uses the Google Translation engine, so you could get the same results yourself, but the approach taken by Svet is much nicer and far more user-friendly. It’s a great idea, and one I’m sure a number of other sites will follow.
Svet elektronike also tell me that the traffic to the site continues to grow. It’s currently at 600 visitors per day (so nearly 20K visits per month) – a very respectable figure considering the small size of their market.
