With the increasing use of mobile devices, it’s good to see publishers responding to the need to change the way that content is displayed based upon how the website is accessed. Recently I talked to Firmware, who told me that they have even optimised the way their digital magazine is displayed – providing both graphical and text-only layouts to ensure it is clear and readable when accessed on a PC, tablet, ereader or smartphone. Being able to change the layout based upon the device that is accessing the site is a great argument for digital publications, and I suspect many publishers will want to replicate some of the features on the www.fwonline.eu website.
