I’m so impressed by ELEKTRONIKPRAXIS’ decision to devote issue 18 to the famine in East Africa. Times are really tough for publications, and for Vogel to find all the printing, paper and postage costs for the issue so that every Euro of advertising revenue is given to charity is hugely impressive. With special rates, the “Electronic aid” special issue is a great opportunity for advertisers to benefit from helping a hugely important cause.
I really hope this can become an annual special issue for ELEKTRONIKPRAXIS, and that companies that start working with the magazine because they like the charitable approach will recognise the benefits of advertising and place an annual schedule. In the corporate world there are too many charitable activities that are done “on the cheap” and therefore I’m very impressed with the no compromise approach taken by ELEKTRONIKPRAXIS. It would be great to see other publications follow their lead.
