Napier Partnership Ltd, a B2B technology PR and marketing agency announces it has appointed University of Chichester undergraduates Jess Baker and Amy Ashford as the company’s new student interns, to provide increased support to Napier’s expert email marketing and PR services.
Napier aims to support PRCA’s campaign to support paid internships, with structured training programmes.
“When I entered the PR industry I was shocked to find that unpaid internships were commonplace,” said Mike Maynard, managing director of Napier, “we’re amongst the first agencies listed as supporting the PRCA and we are delighted at the calibre of the students now working with us”.
The PRCA’s campaign is supported by Nick Clegg, who spoke to PR Week magazine to show his support on the belief that workplaces across Britain desperately need to be opened up, stating “too often it’s who you know, not what you know, that counts”. He believes every company across the PR industry should sign up to his social mobility strategy.
Both students are delighted with the placement which will gain them valuable experience in a dynamic and thriving business. Amy and Jess will graduate in 2012 with BA Honours degrees in Marketing and Event Management.
