Hot on the heels of the announcement of an embedded conference, Energi-Tech has launched a new online publication that targets embedded design engineers. Device Developer (www.device-developer.co.uk) aims to be a real-time news source for an audience that I guess will be working on real-time embedded systems!
The site allows vendors to post news and articles direct to the site, a great way to generate content, but an approach that can be abused with suppliers submitting poor quality material, particularly as there will be a charge to submit content after the first three months.
It’s great to see any new publication, and hopefully the site will attract high-quality content. I’m not a fan of the pay-to-post model, but if the site gains sufficient momentum then perhaps it will become an essential part of embedded marketing campaigns in the UK.
