I received emails from two event organisers who both wanted to tell me how pleased they were with the events they plan to hold in the UK. The UK? Surely everyone knows that this is the worst country in Europe to try to hold events! Well apparently not…
The Device Developers’ Conference has announced exhibitors including Wind River, Lauterbach and Vector. They also have a Patent and Trademark company that will be offering free consultations during the event, and they all tell me that registrations are strong, even though the 3-city show doesn’t start until May (dates are: Bristol, May 14th – Cambridge, May 16th – Manchester, May 22nd).
Meanwhile Avnet Memec have signed up as a Headline Sponsor of the Electronics Design Show, joining Altium, Premier EDA Solutions, RS Components and Digikey on the sponsorship roster. Perhaps more importantly when it comes to attracting engineers to visit the event, two major semiconductor vendors – Freescale, Analog Devices – have confirmed that they will be exhibiting and running workshops.
It’s great to hear about these events doing well, and I’m looking forward to having several strong, focussed shows in the UK.
