OpenSystems Media has announced their Custom E-mag Initiative, which gives clients the chance to create their own branded, lead-generating digital magazine. OpenSystems Media will create an interactive digital publication, including white papers, product and company video clips, display ads, topical articles, hyperlinks to additional resources, social media interfaces, and product announcements. A demo is available at custom.opensystemsmedia.com.
Of course it’s now pretty easy to create “flip book” electronic magazines yourself. Publishers, however, have a huge advantage because they can distribute the publication, and I suspect this will be one of the main reasons companies choose to partner with OpenSystems Media. We’re promised that the branded E-mag will be distributed to a targeted list of more than 30,000 embedded engineers, plus promoted across OpenSystems Media websites (www.opensystemsmedia.com), OpenSystems Media E-letters, and on social media websites. Additionally, it can be added to the Apple, Amazon, and Samsug app stores, or converted to print.
Will custom publishing grow in the same way that it has in many consumer sectors? It’s certainly possible, and we’ll be watching for the first successful custom publications from OpenSystems Media.
