There’s an interesting new website that should be launching very soon, softei.com. The site is different from the normal technical content-driven trade media as it aims to "provide those who purchase and specify electronic components, instruments, software, machinery and services with details of special offers and promotions from around the globe".
This is a nice idea, which will no doubt give purchasers an opportunity to find ways to save money during production, as well as providing engineers with development kit deals. The site’s editor is Caroline Hayes and the company’s managing director is Andy Pratt, so there is no shortage of experience behind this venture.
UPDATE – 24th April – the site is now live!
